Our volunteers give from the heart and are an important part of everything we do at VNA Health Care. They bring enthusiasm and kindness to those we serve, making significant contributions to our Home Health, Hospice, and Health Center services.
Some of our volunteers work hundreds of hours a year, while others choose to work only on one special day. Whether their jobs are behind the scenes or out in public, all of our volunteers touch the lives of others in extraordinary ways.
Volunteers have the opportunity to build friendships, while participating in work that is meaningful and makes an impact on our community. VNA's volunteers are invited to all of VNA's special events, including the annual VNA Holiday party.

Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) Volunteers
The Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) is a free counseling service for Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers. SHIP is a volunteer driven program sponsored by the Illinois Department of Insurance that helps consumers make informed Medicare decisions.
SHIP and its volunteer counselors do not sell or solicit insurance. They are trained to educate and answer questions on Medicare, Medicare Supplement, Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage, Medicare HMO, PPO and other health plans. If you are interested in becoming a SHIP volunteer, VNA will help you coordinate the state training. The training program is free and is offered at various times and locations throughout the year, depending on demand.
VNA is looking for volunteers to provide one on one counseling to Medicare beneficiaries and their care givers as well as promoting SHIP at local community events. Make a difference and join the SHIP team at VNA.
