New Babies

There are 11 important Well Child visits you need to make with your new baby over the first two years of life. At these visits your baby will:

  • Receive important vaccinations
  • Be screened for developmental milestones
  • Have hemoglobin and lead levels checked

It is also a time to talk to your provider about important issues including:

  • Nutrition
  • Sleep patterns
  • Infant safety

Other health services for all children include:

  • School & sports physicals: VNA offers school and sports physicals at all locations as well as at many local schools in the spring and late summer. If your child is a VNA Medicaid insurance patient, there is no charge for the physical and immunizations.
  • Lead screening
  • Acute illness treatment (such as infections, injury, fever, etc)
  • Chronic illness management (such as diabetes, obesity, etc)
  • Behavioral health services
  • Women, Infant &  Children (WIC) Nutrition program

All of our pediatric providers are trained to diagnose and treat attention deficit disorder (ADD) and other related conditions.
