VNA Patient Notice: Important Medication Changes Starting January 1, 2026

We want to let you know about an important change that may affect how you receive certain prescription medications at VNA.

Beginning January 1, 2026, the federal government is implementing new requirements for a select set of prescription medications.

Unless there are federal changes to modify or suspend these requirements, your ability to continue to receive your medicines at the lowest possible price may be impacted.

Medications affected:

Eliquis (apixaban), Enbrel (etanercept), Farxiga (dapagliflozin), Fiasp insulin, Imbruvica (ibrutinib), Januvia (sitagliptin), Jardiance (empagliflozin), NovoLog insulin, Stelara (ustekinumab), Xarelto (rivaroxaban)

What you need to know, if you take one or more of the medications on this list:

    • More time may be needed. Contact your VNA provider at least 7–10 days before you run out for a refill.
    • Not all pharmacies will be able to offer the lowest 340B pricing for these medications.
        • VNA pharmacies are able to continue to offer the lowest possible 340B pricing.
        • We cannot guarantee that this discounted pricing will be available at non-VNA pharmacies.
        • If you normally use a VNA pharmacy, you may continue to do so and receive this discounted pricing.
        • If you use a non-VNA pharmacy, we suggest you call ahead to confirm their pricing. You are welcome to switch to a VNA pharmacy at any time.
        • If none of these options work for you, you can discuss the possibility of an alternative medication with your VNA provider.
