Linnea Windel has served as VNA Health Care’s President & CEO since 1999, having previously served in other VNA leadership positions. She led the transformation of the organization into a diversified community health network serving suburban Chicago with comprehensive primary care, home-based nursing and medical services, and a variety of wellness and public health programs.

VNA is the largest Community Health Center (CHC) in suburban Chicago and serves nearly 90,000 unduplicated patients. Under Linnea’s leadership, VNA has continually received high marks for patient health outcomes, cost of care, and patient satisfaction and experience, as reported by the Health Resources and Services Administration and others.

Linnea received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Aurora University. She is a graduate of the Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellows program and a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing. She currently serves on the DuPage Health Coalition Board, the Kane County Health Advisory Committee, the Aurora University Board, and the Home Health, Home Services and Home Nursing Advisory Board of the Illinois Department of Public Health.
