Michelle Sexton

Michelle Sexton is Associate Vice President of Medical Services. Michelle works closely with all departments, providers, RNs, CNAs, health center support staff, and community partners to ensure quality patient care. She provides guidance and leadership to the clinical team and drives efficiencies as the clinical leader for VNA’s EHR system. Michelle joined VNA in 2017 and was promoted to her current role in 2025.

Michelle has over 20 years of health care experience. She joined VNA as a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She advanced to Director of Clinical Services, and then in 2022, was promoted to Associate Vice President of Health Center Operations. Prior to VNA, Michelle spent 15 years in emergency medicine and has held roles as a CNA, RN, and Charge Nurse.

Michelle holds an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree from Moraine Valley Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Purdue University, and a Master of Science in Nursing–Family Nurse Practitioner degree from St. Francis University. She is board certified by and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
